How We Rank Skins

Premate.gg uses a head-to-head voting system to rank Valorant skins. Players are shown two skins from the same weapon category side by side and asked to choose which one they prefer. This simple format eliminates rating inflation and forces honest comparisons — every vote is a direct battle between two skins.

Each skin's ranking is calculated using an ELO rating system, similar to how chess rankings work. When a skin wins a matchup against a higher-rated skin, it gains more points than if it beats a lower-rated one. This means the rankings naturally sort themselves over time, with the truly best skins rising to the top regardless of when they were added to the system.

Most importantly, these rankings are based entirely on real community votes — not editor opinions, not sponsorship deals, not popularity on social media. Every player's vote counts equally, making this one of the most democratic and unbiased skin tier lists available for Valorant.
